Caring for Our Watersheds

Turn environmental ideas into solutions

Youth across California are turning their environmental ideas into solutions through the Caring for Our Watersheds proposal writing contest, which challenges middle and high school students to generate creative ways to protect and preserve their environment. This joint program of the Center for Land-Based Learning and Nutrien awards more than $27,000 in prize and implementation money to winning proposals.

In the 13 years that CLBL has partnered with Nutrien, more than 4,700 projects have been proposed and over 100 have been funded and implemented.

Teachers in Northern California interested in participating, contact Erica Bowles at ericab@landbasedlearning.org.
