The Farming, Agriculture and Resource Management for Sustainability program exposes urban, suburban and rural high schoolers to innovative, hands-on experiences at working farms, agribusinesses and in higher education.
Get Involved
FARMS can’t reach its potential without the support of teachers, program partners, alumni and funders. Help us take youth to the next level by getting involved. For additional questions and information, contact Mindy Cunha at mindy@landbasedlearning.org.
Farms Leadership
This 4-day course gives you the opportunity to satisfy your ag-curiosity. Learn about pathways to get into an ag career, gain some hands-on experience and visit a local farm. Interested students can graduate into the Beginning Farmer Training Program
Farms Advanced
FARMS Advanced is the second phase of the FARMS Program journey. Students participate in targeted field days that dig much deeper into agriculture and environmental science careers and vital workforce skills, such as leadership, interpersonal communication, resume creation, and networking.
Farms Internship
Paid internships and job shadows are the capstone of the FARMS continuum and allow students to practically apply their knowledge. This opportunity is open to all program alumni interested in pursuing a career in agriculture or environmental sciences.
