Decades of wisdom and resources at your fingertips

Farming, Agriculture, and Resource Management for Sustainability (FARMS) is established as a stand-alone high-school education program.

CLBL breaks ground on a new 30-acre headquarters at The Maples Farm in Woodland, California, providing field and classroom learning space for programs and the community.

october Speaker series

Join our next Speaker Series on October 15 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and dig into Mycology 101. Learn how to start growing your own culinary mushrooms for fun and profit.

It’s easy and affordable to start growing your own mushrooms once you learn a few basic tips. Brandon Burkhouse from Shroomhouse will be our guide, leading us through Mycology 101 and how to get started. Learn about the materials and infrastructure you’ll need, which varieties to start with, and how to set yourself up for cultivation using cold pasteruization.

wELDING 101 – sIGN UP NOW!

All are welcome to learn how to weld in our newly remodeled welding shop at our headquarters in Woodland.

Whether you’re a farmer who wants to practice the basics of welding, or learn to weld for home or business, we are proud to make this community resource available. You’ll get experience using an arc welder and an oxy-acetylene torch. Small class size allows ample opportunity for personalized learning and instruction.

CLBL At Terra Madre Americas

We’re excited to share that we’ll be attending the Terra Madre Americas event in Sacramento from September 26 – 28. This event marks the first time it’ll be in the United States and we’re excited that it’ll be in Sacramento.
